Street Photography Project Statement

Literally street photography. For all my years of travleing and living in different cities in the U.S. and in Europe, I've always been a big fan of wandering streets. I cross from the picturesque to the more indifferent sections of towns and cities. There's something about these empty non-lieux (non-places) as the socialogist Marc Augé would describe them that I find fascinating and beautiful. There seems almost to be a secret code buried in the patterns of cracks and painted strips one finds in the urban and semi-urban setting.
