A series of large scale (50 x 70 cm / 20 x 28") cyanotype prints. This is one of my numerous projects investigating portraiture from a less conventional vantage point. I've often felt that portraiture can too-easily fall into superficiality and focus exclusively on the physical. To try to work around this issue, I've tried to approach making portraits in some less common ways. Here, I've asked models to close their eyes to see how this transforms the situation and what is conveyed.
