Living in Southern Tuscany for several months, I found myself surrounded by a quiet and slow rhythm. I began this series as an investigation of the new landscapes and cityscapes surrounding me. At the same time that we find evidence of tranquility, there is the broken frame to remind us of a disjoint or disconnection which surely was my not completely successful effort to integrate smoothly into this unfamiliar culture.
