This is an in-progress series dealing with portraiture from a less conventional vantage point. I've never been especially intrigued with portraiture and have even found it a bit irritating because it seems so easily to degrade into an exercise in vanity. Therefore, I decided to deal with this subject in a way where conventional ideas of portraiture are thrown out the window--allowing me a freedom to use the portrait as a means for access into a more emotional and interior world.
