Statement
My work in photography frequently revolves around the question of perception. I work with a variety of camera types and photo processes to experiment with various ways of capturing the world around us.The link between photography and "reality" is magical. I'm always interested in maintaining a linkage to this apparent reality but I like to twist it using different camera types and photo processes to investigate how uncertain the world around us really is. Final prints are made in black and white, color and also alternative photo processes like cyanotype, van dyke brown, gum bichromate and liquid light. Some of my work is within the "straight" aesthetic while other projects are quite painterly. Take a look at some samples of figurative and landscape photo projects.
In addition to my art projects, I am also an avid travel photographer and have captured images in many different countries (Italy, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Macedonia, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Thailand, India, Mexico and the United States).
